Gizmodo has a little video of sending a song from 1 Zune to another Zune via WiFi. The transfer takes no longer then 30 seconds from start to finish.
So its not as long as some people were saying it would take for song transfers between 2 Zunes, and appears to be a pretty smooth and [...]

There were as many Zunes as there were martini glasses at Microsoft's soiree in New York last night and thanks to Gawker's videographer, Richard Blakeley, we managed to get a good look at the player's interface and music-beaming capabilities despite the wall-thumping techno/house soundtrack that filled the warehouse throughout the night. Here's what you missed if you weren't around. – Louis Ramirez

Being shown off at the Global Entrepolis @ Singapore 2006 now, this modular plug design by Ng Yi Han makes it so you never have to waste a slot in your power strip again.
How it works: each device, say iPod, Zune, Laptop, or cellphone comes with its own modular PlugKing unit that fits into the previous PlugKing. In essence, you only need as many plugs as you have devices, making it modular and space-saving. Not to mention quite expandable.
The only problem with cool devices like this and the powersquid is that they cost tens of dollars more than the standard $3 power strips, which you could grab lots of instead of one of these. – Jason Chen

Nothing's worst than seeing one of your beloved gadgets die a slow death in front of you. Enter the Battery Box. This handy device can use either AAA or AA batteries to simulate a 5v power supply and breathe new life back into your USB gadget regardless of whether it's your iPod, Zune, or even the USB Snowbot. For a mere $8 bucks, it's an affordable way to keep your gizmos running just a few seconds longer. Extra pics after the jump.

So now that you've seen how fast you can beam songs from one Zune player to another, we're gonna drill through the menu system so you can see just how smooth this baby runs in person. Along with Gawker's video guru Richard Blakeley, we hit everything from display settings to the Zune's radio interface. We experienced a brief pause when flipping through photo albums, but it was nothing annoyingly long. And if you're wondering about the techno soundtrack pumping in the background, we'll have a party recap later on today. – Louis Ramirez

We crashed Microsoft's New York Zune party last night and got some extra hands-on time with the soon-to-be-released player. We've already given you our in depth review, but were curious to see just how long it'd take to send music from one Zune to another. Gawker videographer Richard Blakeley filmed the exchange which took under 30 seconds from start to finish using Art Brut's "Emily Kane" as our music guinea pig (the song is a 2.41-minute track). Check the video for yourself. – Louis Ramirez

Olga from BusinessWeek wrote a really great article about the Zune accessories business. I think she gets it right and I was really happy to read the site. She even mentions Zuneguy! I sent her mail and maybe we'll get a more in-depth interview. Until then, enjoy

While Griffin hems and haws about unleashing an expected bevy of accessories for Microsoft's forthcoming PMP, Belkin's not making any bones about its intentions to deliver a fleshed-out set of Zune-specific add-ons. Up first is the $79.99 TuneBase FM Transmitter, which doesn't stray too far from its iPod-friendly counterpart, and sports a (probably unnecessary) 3.5-millimeter line-out for times when those FM signals just aren't cutting it. It also touts a "flexible steel neck" for easy in-car positioning, large LCD display, and three memory presets. In case the 12-14 hours of audio playback isn't longevous enough for you, the TunePower will reportedly extend the playtime of your Zune "by up to six hours," and add an additional bulge on its rear as well. Additionally, the device acts as a kickstand for portable video viewing as well as a protective case, and the $59.99 pricetag also buys you a separate AC adapter for c...

Shyness is nice, and
Shyness can stop you
From Zuning all the things in life
You'd like to
So, if there's something you'd like to try
If there's something you'd like to try
Ask me - I won't say "no" - how could I?
We've got some more Zune hands-on time coming up this week, so if you've got a question about the Zune that you want answered, hit me up in my email (it's over there on the left) with the subject "Zune Q&A". Come back later in the week to check out the answers to your questions! – Jason Chen
