So, let's make the most of this beautiful day.
Since we're together we might as well say:
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?
Won't you please,
Won't you please?
Please won't you be my neighbor?
Thanks, Absolut, Blackberry Pearl, Casio, Don Julio, Fox Soccer Channel, Genji, HTC, Intel, Logitech, Mio, Old Spice, Parrot, Pioneer, Randomhouse, Playstation, Shure, Sprint, Urge, VW, Verizon and Zune.
I've always wanted to have a neighbor just like you.
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

Everybody's favorite richest man in the world is going to be chatted up by Jon Stewart on Monday, the day before Vista rolls out. (Or one hour, if you swing by CompUSA.)
Sounds like the opportunity for a drinking game: one shot every time he mentions the word Vista or Xbox 360, two if he namedrops the Zune, and a whole bottle if he mentions iPhone or Apple by name. Guaranteed to make you laugh or get you hammered, either way. – Matt Buchanan

According to an article at the Seattlepi, it seems that Zune does have sharing limitations. As I have stated before this is a blow to their “sharing”/”social” feature. However, Microsoft has stated earlier that ‘certain’ songs can’t be shared. However today more details were shed by both Microsoft and Universal Music Group.  But it is not [...]

Get your buckets of NaCl loaded up, as this one just seems a bit too rough around the edges to hold any sort of reality, but according to Zune-smashing Jim Cramer and TheStreet, AT&T will be "giving away its service for a year and a half" to anyone purchasing Apple's forthcoming iPhone. Still in your chair? If so, we doubt those three or four fence-sitters out there pondering over whether or not switching out of that recently signed contract would be worth it come June are debating any longer. In a bizarre assertion, it seems that AT&T is going all out in order to downright steal marketshare from competitors such as Verizon and Sprint-Nextel, and while we've no idea if such a plan intends to be implemented, this here sounds like a surefire way to get more than a few traitors to come AT&T's way. Of course, there has yet to be company confirmation that such a deal is in the works, and we're still waiting for the presumably mile-long list o...

After the iPod came out on top in our Zune v. iPod battle royale, we decided to keep on using the Zune so we could get a long term evaluation on how Microsoft's player stacked up. After nearly three months with the thing, we think we've got some new light to shed.
First off, we have to say that the subscription service is great. This is probably the main reason why many people wanted to make the switch to the Zune from the iPod. Being able to hop online and download as many songs as you want off their library is extremely freeing, in the same sense as walking in your underwear at your in-laws' house and letting one rip.
Hear a song in a movie and you want it? Well, you've already paid for a subscription so go ahead and download it for free. This pays off if you buy at least one CD a month, but comes with the restriction that you lose everything if you stop paying—or if the Zune store tanks.
Actually listening to songs on the Zune has been fine as well....

CES is so hungover, and all that's left for journalists to do during this tech lull is to sit around and write up their "best of" lists for CES. But since our Frankenreview is about collecting product reviews and sifting through the opinions for consensus, what better to review than the best of what was reviewed at CES 2007?
While Laptop Mag, Popular Science, Shiny Shiny, Infosync, Reg Hardware, Maxim, and Pocket Lint have taken lemons and made lemonade, we are taking lemonade and making...super lemonade. Hit the jump to see the absolute cream of the crop products, the one list to catch you up on all the lists: The Best Of, The Best Of CES 2007.

Apparently its squirting has become irregular.
But the bigger question is over Microsoft's handling of that and another minor black eye on the eve of Vista's launch. Where has the spin doctor been?
Instead of waffling on a Zune glitch that prevents some song sharing, why didn't Microsoft fess up right away and say when a fix can be expected? How about giving the affected customers a batch of free songs, or at least providing guidance so this doesn't scare away Zune buyers more than it already has? Can the unsquirtable songs be tagged and sold at a discount?
Instead of trying some creative damage control -- as it's done with great Xbox customer service -- it's just shrugging and saying it's a 1.0 product. Wait for the service pack, I guess.
Then Microsoft looked untoward because it hired a vendor to correct Wikipedia entries. If the company truly had difficulty fixing the entries itself, it should have offered some proof.
It may have seemed safe to use...

Microsoft Media Cief Chris Stephenson was at the Midem Music Expo in Cannes and he said that he was suggesting that Wi-Fi “filling stations” may be in the future for the Zune. The idea is generally similar to that of the iPod kiosks, but uses WiFi to connection.   Ideally a service like this would work the same [...]
